Buckfast Abbey's supporters rose to their feet, but Olugbenga Defiagbon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nkemdilim Acholonu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nkemdilim Acholonu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bello Mbolu's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Bello Mbolu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olugbenga Defiagbon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bello Mbolu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Nkemdilim Acholonu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danlami Hashimu kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Buckfast Abbey's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ajayi Japhet in the 45th minute. After taking down the ball on Buckfast Abbey's corner Ajayi Japhet fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nkemdilim Acholonu quite easily take care of the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eluemuno Gauyama to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Eluemuno Gauyama ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elewechi Darangi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eluemuno Gauyama in the 55th minute of play forced Buckfast Abbey's goalkeeper Elewechi Darangi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elewechi Darangi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eluemuno Gauyama went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Eluemuno Gauyama managed to get in a good position for a shot. Keyworth's supporters rose to their feet, but Eluemuno Gauyama was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The supporters of Keyworth booed when Buckfast Abbey was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kunle Mbong didn't get a good kick on the ball. Buckfast Abbey's Olugbenga Defiagbon got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bello Mbolu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nkemdilim Acholonu having to interfere. Eluemuno Gauyama fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elewechi Darangi having to interfere. Olugbenga Defiagbon's late challenge caught a Keyworth's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olugbenga Defiagbon helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th minute, Olugbenga Defiagbon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Bello Mbolu took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Nkemdilim Acholonu to make any attempt to save it. Olugbenga Defiagbon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
