Edon Okwudili started the match with the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 4th minute by Udoka Adebakin got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Chiazagom Igwe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kodilinye Benneth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Eddy Adekanmbi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Southam AFC's Udoka Adebakin got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chislehurst:s Chikere Nwaolikpe showed great skill when he stopped Bankole Najoji:s penalty. Chikere Nwaolikpe made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Udoka Adebakin sent off a good shot on target. When Kodilinye Benneth came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Chislehurst fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kodilinye Benneth couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Southam AFC's Bankole Najoji got a free kick in the 31st minute. Chiazagom Igwe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kodilinye Benneth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kodilinye Benneth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddy Adekanmbi having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, one of Chislehurst:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Chislehurst. When the match had been going on for 44 minutes, Southam AFC's Bankole Najoji got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Chikere Nwaolikpe. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chiazagom Igwe to make the kick off. Eddy Adekanmbi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chiazagom Igwe in the 52nd minute of the match. Eddy Adekanmbi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chiazagom Igwe in the 57th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Udoka Adebakin in the 60th minute of play forced Chislehurst's goalkeeper Chikere Nwaolikpe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kodilinye Benneth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Chislehurst's Eddy Adekanmbi threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Chiazagom Igwe, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Chikere Nwaolikpe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edon Okwudili in the 71st minute of play. Somadina Ukomadu kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Kodilinye Benneth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 90 minutes, Udoka Adebakin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Southam AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Udoka Adebakin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Edon Okwudili came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Southam AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edon Okwudili couldn't finish the play.
