When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Nkemakolam Adejuyigbe put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Adebola Tsehe. Chimaijem Oshunkoya charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chimaijem Oshunkoya the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st match minute, Mitcham FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chimaijem Oshunkoya to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 32 minutes, Tolu Fashiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Harvington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tolu Fashiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mitcham FC's Chimaijem Oshunkoya got his second yellow card of the match in the 33rd minute. The referee ordered Chimaijem Oshunkoya off the ground. The supporters of Harvington booed when Mitcham FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chimaijem Oshunkoya didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Tolu Fashiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Badamasi Akpuluma. Mitcham FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tolu Fashiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Harvington's supporters rose to their feet, but Nnam Soyinka was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Badamasi Akpuluma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nnam Soyinka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Furo Nehemiah came up free with the goalie in the 100th minute, the Harvington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Furo Nehemiah couldn't finish the play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
