Bristol St George AFC's Iweobiegbunam Moses got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olawale Kallamu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 10th minute, Ormskirk's Osaze Pama ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hanyechukwu Onyeneke. Hanyechukwu Onyeneke yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Dahiru Otere sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hanyechukwu Onyeneke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osaze Pama, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Osaze Pama sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute of the match Ogbuefi Uchendu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hanyechukwu Onyeneke skillfully saved the ball. Ormskirk's Chuma Abbey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iweobiegbunam Moses in the 28th minute of play. Hanyechukwu Onyeneke made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Dahiru Otere sent off a good shot on target. Dahiru Otere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Hanyechukwu Onyeneke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iweobiegbunam Moses fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chuma Abbey having to interfere. Dahiru Otere sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osaze Pama in the 42nd minute of play forced Bristol St George AFC's goalkeeper Hanyechukwu Onyeneke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Bristol St George AFC's Bello Ogunmekan got a free kick in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Osaze Pama to strike the kick off in the second half. Osaze Pama struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Hanyechukwu Onyeneke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ormskirk. Hanyechukwu Onyeneke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osaze Pama in the 53rd minute of play. After having played for 58 minutes, Iweobiegbunam Moses managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bristol St George AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iweobiegbunam Moses was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th match minute, Ormskirk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ibeabuchi Yussuf to maneuver through the defense. After 71 played minutes Bristol St George AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ikem Okoroanyanwu. In the 74th minute, Olawale Kallamu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mala Ohuabunwa's late challenge caught a Bristol St George AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mala Ohuabunwa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 76th minute, Mala Ohuabunwa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bristol St George AFC's Iweobiegbunam Moses got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hanyechukwu Onyeneke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dahiru Otere in the 84th minute of the match. A hard shot by Makanjuola Olishite from long distance, 87 minutes into the match, got Chuma Abbey's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Chuma Abbey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iweobiegbunam Moses, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ormskirk's goalkeeper Chuma Abbey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A hard shot 91 in the game by Olawale Kallamu from a close distance when the talented Chuma Abbey managed to make a qualified save. Ormskirk's players were relieved. Dahiru Otere fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hanyechukwu Onyeneke having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Dahiru Otere had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hanyechukwu Onyeneke. Bristol St George AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dahiru Otere was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ormskirk fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bristol St George AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
