The ball had pretty good speed, but Yoba Onobo firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Chukwueloka Dikko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tettenhall's supporters rose to their feet, but Chukwueloka Dikko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yoba Onobo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yoba Onobo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Chuma Akaruye sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 42 minutes into the match, Chester-le-Street City's goal looked a bit too open when Chukwueloka Dikko came free, but Yoba Onobo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chester-le-Street City's Yoba Onobo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Chester-le-Street City from getting a goal against them. Yoba Onobo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chiekwugo Ajatta went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Chukwueloka Dikko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yoba Onobo having to interfere. If Chiekwugo Ajatta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chester-le-Street City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tettenhall the free kick. In the 90th minute, Chukwueloka Dikko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yoba Onobo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chukwueloka Dikko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sulaimon Affianah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Olakunle Pascal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tettenhall had won after a very even match.
