Spectators: 6848 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1848, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Theodore Akassa got the match started through his kick off. Uwaezu Idachaba hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nkeiruka Onigbinde got free with Yoba Onobo in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chuma Akaruye recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Theodore Akassa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yoba Onobo made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Nkeiruka Onigbinde sent off a good shot on target. When Theodore Akassa fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wincanton's protests and gave Theodore Akassa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Wincanton getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Theodore Akassa hit a great ball. Akin Aduaka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sulaimon Affianah in the 28th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Chester-le-Street City's zone, Theodore Akassa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yoba Onobo came out of the goal and Theodore Akassa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th match minute, Chester-le-Street City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amauchechukwu Olaniyi to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute, Theodore Akassa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dosu Adejuyigbe struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Akin Aduaka didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chester-le-Street City. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sulaimon Affianah made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, one of Wincanton:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Wincanton:s Akin Aduaka showed great skill when he stopped Udochukwu Okorodudu:s penalty. In the 56th minute of the match Chester-le-Street City got a corner. Wincanton's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Udochukwu Okorodudu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Chester-le-Street City's Amauchechukwu Olaniyi to fire away a dangerous shot which Akin Aduaka despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Theodore Akassa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yoba Onobo having to interfere. Nkeiruka Onigbinde recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chester-le-Street City's Chuma Akaruye got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chuma Akaruye in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Akin Aduaka, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nkeiruka Onigbinde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yoba Onobo having to interfere. Nkeiruka Onigbinde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Yoba Onobo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Wincanton's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Chuma Akaruye fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With an all-out effort, Chester-le-Street City's Akin Aduaka threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sulaimon Affianah, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ofodile Onwuama during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th minute, Ofodile Onwuama hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
