Spectators: 6839 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1839, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nwora Nwanguma made the kick off which started today's match. After a rather tough play, Newmarket City's Chiazagom Fadason got a free kick in the 5th minute. Raymond Ezeagba, 6 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Toby Obiabo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Oyai in the 7th minute of play. Gaiya Affe's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Viktor Adeegbe firmly grabbed it by the left post. Gambo Issah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute Nwora Nwanguma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toby Obiabo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of GOAT D10S booed when Newmarket City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gambo Issah didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gambo Issah to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Nwora Nwanguma reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Toby Obiabo. The goal made the score 1-3. Viktor Adeegbe came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Newmarket City's Gaiya Affe. But to his dismay, Gaiya Affe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Tony Oyai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toby Obiabo having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, GOAT D10S's Nwora Nwanguma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Toby Obiabo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Viktor Adeegbe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gambo Issah in the 64th minute of play. If Tony Oyai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Gambo Issah put it in 3-3 from a short distance just to the right of Viktor Adeegbe. Toby Obiabo made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Tony Oyai sent off a good shot on target. Akudinobi Babanyaya kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Mudschahid Lebechukwu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gaiya Affe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the match, Gambo Issah had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Viktor Adeegbe. GOAT D10S's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gambo Issah was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. Chiazagom Fadason charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chiazagom Fadason the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Chiazagom Fadason hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Newmarket City's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
