Edon Adekwu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Onyekachi Olabanjo having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ime Sunday Akparanta was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Mudashiru Eyoma notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Stocksbridge FC's Onodugo Anuforo. After 98 minutes of play, Stocksbridge FC's Edon Adekwu made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Onyekachi Olabanjo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Stocksbridge FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
