Spectators: 6842 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1842, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Chukwujekwu Abidoye started the match with the kick off. Onyeka Ajilore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chukwujekwu Abidoye in the 3rd minute of play. Bartholomew Omoefe's late challenge caught a Haverhill United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bartholomew Omoefe helped the player get up and apologised. In the 5th match minute, Haslingfield AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartholomew Omoefe to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Haverhill United's zone, Chukwujekwu Abidoye stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Onyeka Ajilore came out of the goal and Chukwujekwu Abidoye tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute, Niyi Emmanuel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Haslingfield AFC's goalkeeper Idoko Owoleke had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aquila Oyebode. 33 minutes into the game, Mala Abumere was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Haverhill United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Haslingfield AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Haverhill United's Mala Abumere got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 42nd match minute, Haslingfield AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yisa Tsehe to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute of the match Haverhill United got a corner. Haslingfield AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Chifo Osiro ran over to the corner to take the kick. Aquila Oyebode could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Idoko Owoleke made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Niyi Emmanuel to strike the kick off in the second half. If Shekarau Ohaegbu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chukwujekwu Abidoye fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Onyeka Ajilore having to interfere. When Shekarau Ohaegbu came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Haslingfield AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shekarau Ohaegbu couldn't finish the play. In the 67th minute, Chukwujekwu Abidoye got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Haverhill United getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Afamefuna Nnabugwu hit a great ball. A hard shot 72 in the game by Shekarau Ohaegbu from a close distance when the talented Onyeka Ajilore managed to make a qualified save. Haverhill United's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Haverhill United's zone, Shekarau Ohaegbu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Onyeka Ajilore came out of the goal and Shekarau Ohaegbu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Chukwujekwu Abidoye had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Haverhill United's Chifo Osiro got a free kick in the 76th minute. Onyeka Ajilore made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Shekarau Ohaegbu sent off a good shot on target. Idoko Owoleke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquila Oyebode in the 81st minute of the match. After 87 played minutes Haverhill United got a freekick which was hit by Afamefuna Nnabugwu. In the 90th minute Mala Abumere shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Idoko Owoleke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shekarau Ohaegbu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Onyeka Ajilore read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Idoko Owoleke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquila Oyebode, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Haverhill United had won after a very even match.
