The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Izu Machinam during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Izu Machinam hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nna Achima in the 5th minute of play forced Crown Fc's goalkeeper Onwuamaeze Omanukwue to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Muraina Ayorinde kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the game, Muraina Ayorinde was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Crown Fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flushing City the free kick. The supporters of Flushing City booed when Crown Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Muraina Ayorinde didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Chukwufumnanya Ogolo came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Flushing City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chukwufumnanya Ogolo couldn't finish the play. Onwuamaeze Omanukwue made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nna Achima in the 14th minute of play. When Christian Oyeoku came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Crown Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Oyeoku couldn't finish the play. Izu Machinam got a throw-in 19 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Chukwufumnanya Ogolo. Rashidi Adedokun kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Onwuamaeze Omanukwue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Izu Machinam in the 24th minute of the match. Onwuamaeze Omanukwue took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chukwufumnanya Ogolo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emenike Amagu came free with the goalkeeper in the 32nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tobe Omokaro could save by the left post. Tobe Omokaro made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Emenike Amagu sent off a good shot on target. After 36 played minutes Christian Oyeoku rounded Flushing City's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. If Emenike Amagu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christian Oyeoku to strike the kick off in the second half. Crown Fc's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Muraina Ayorinde in the 53rd minute. After taking down the ball on Crown Fc's corner Ifeajuna Okocha fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tobe Omokaro quite easily take care of the ball. Tobe Omokaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emenike Amagu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Flushing City's zone, Christian Oyeoku stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tobe Omokaro came out of the goal and Christian Oyeoku tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, Flushing City's Onwuamaeze Omanukwue threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nna Achima , which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Muraina Ayorinde hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Onwuamaeze Omanukwue made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nna Achima in the 66th minute of play. In the 71st minute Emenike Amagu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobe Omokaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute of the match, Nna Achima tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Onwuamaeze Omanukwue saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Tobe Omokaro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emenike Amagu went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Nna Achima received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Onwuamaeze Omanukwue came out and tried to block the shot, but Nna Achima slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 81st minute. Emenike Amagu scored 3-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tobe Omokaro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Chukwufumnanya Ogolo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Onwuamaeze Omanukwue made a huge save. Nna Achima succeeded in the game's 89th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-2. In the 92nd minute Emenike Amagu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobe Omokaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
