Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nwabuno Adedayo got the match started through his kick off. Shola Sodje showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enang Imaji, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Chinonyelum Odoko's late challenge caught a Prudhoe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chinonyelum Odoko helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Prudhoe booed when Redcar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chinonyelum Odoko didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Niyi Ilo in the 8th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Oghogho Jayeoba kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. In the 13th minute Ubani Netufo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shola Sodje saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Redcar's goal looked a bit too open when Bartholomew Uchara came free, but Shola Sodje reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Niyi Ilo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Okwuadigbo Eyiboh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute Nwabuno Adedayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shola Sodje saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Prudhoe's Oghogho Jayeoba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niyi Ilo in the 29th minute of play. Oghogho Jayeoba came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Redcar's Niyi Ilo. But to his dismay, Niyi Ilo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 35th minute, one of Redcar:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Redcar. The referee gave Prudhoe a penalty, 39 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Chidiebele Otite, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Redcar's Shola Sodje. 2-1. Nwabuno Adedayo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Shola Sodje tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Bankole Arumona took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Oghogho Jayeoba. Prudhoe's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Oghogho Jayeoba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niyi Ilo in the 58th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Redcar's goal looked a bit too open when Nwabuno Adedayo came free, but Shola Sodje reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bartholomew Uchara's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Shola Sodje firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Prudhoe's zone, Niyi Ilo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oghogho Jayeoba came out of the goal and Niyi Ilo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 66thth minute of the game Enang Imaji who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Redcar's Shola Sodje was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Enang Imaji could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Shola Sodje made a huge save. Bartholomew Uchara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Shola Sodje made a huge save. Shola Sodje showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nwabuno Adedayo in the 69th minute of the match. Redcar's Shola Sodje played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartholomew Uchara in the 71st minute of play. After having played for 78 minutes, Niyi Ilo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Redcar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niyi Ilo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute Nwabuno Adedayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shola Sodje saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oghogho Jayeoba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Niyi Ilo's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Niyi Ilo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oghogho Jayeoba having to interfere. Shola Sodje showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nwabuno Adedayo in the 95th minute of the match. After 95 played minutes Redcar got a freekick which was hit by Shikoze Akintunde. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
