Spectators: 6881 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1881, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tajudeen Ezeagba started the match with the kick off. Chinweuba Bala kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 6thth minute of the game Tajudeen Ezeagba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Helston AFC's Rafael Aikhomu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 6 played minutes Helston AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dube Tambiyi. Tajudeen Ezeagba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Aikhomu having to interfere. Chijioke Emeghara kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Omeokachie Onigbinde got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 21 minutes, Nedu Mochaa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Helston AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nedu Mochaa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Helston AFC's zone, Afolabi Ekpo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Aikhomu came out of the goal and Afolabi Ekpo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Afolabi Ekpo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tajudeen Ezeagba in the 33rd minute of play forced Helston AFC's goalkeeper Rafael Aikhomu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afolabi Ekpo might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rafael Aikhomu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Afolabi Ekpo ran back to his position shaking his head. Ozioma Yusuf hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Afolabi Ekpo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Aikhomu having to interfere. Azu Nnorom charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Azu Nnorom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Azu Nnorom hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nedu Mochaa to make the kick off. Rafael Aikhomu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Afolabi Ekpo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 58 minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, Parbold's Afolabi Ekpo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafael Aikhomu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Rafael Aikhomu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tajudeen Ezeagba in the 66th minute of the match. Rafael Aikhomu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tajudeen Ezeagba, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. A collision led to Parbold getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Bethel Chikwelu hit a great ball. After 73 played minutes Parbold got a freekick which was hit by Tajudeen Ezeagba. Nedu Mochaa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Abdullahi Adaji tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Afolabi Ekpo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Tajudeen Ezeagba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rafael Aikhomu was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. If Tajudeen Ezeagba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Parbold played a much better game than Helston AFC and deserved their victory. The Helston AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
