He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Rufus Agundu. After some careless play in the Redruth AFC defense, Habeeb Egbuonu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Opeyemi Betara. The Redruth AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Opeyemi Betara should have stopped the shot. Chinwendu Adekwu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rufus Agundu having to interfere. Rufus Agundu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chinwendu Adekwu in the 36th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Habeeb Egbuonu made a kick off. Rufus Agundu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chinwendu Adekwu , who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Chinwendu Adekwu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 59 played minutes, Redruth AFC's Chialuka Ikpeme shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rufus Agundu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Redruth AFC reached it. Aniedi Olatunji hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Rufus Agundu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Babajide Ofoche in the 67th minute of play. With his leg Opeyemi Betara managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Fairfield's Aniedi Olatunji fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
