Muyiwa Abubakar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurzform Adediwura in the 26th minute of the match. Efan Oguntominiyi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olejuru Ojo having to interfere. After the first half Wembley were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Austine Bobolayefa to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Efan Oguntominiyi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Austine Bobolayefa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Muyiwa Abubakar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kurzform Adediwura got free with Muyiwa Abubakar in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Austine Bobolayefa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Greg Okatahi hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Wembley's Olejuru Ojo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ete Charlie Adaji in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute Austine Bobolayefa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Muyiwa Abubakar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Efan Oguntominiyi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 80 minutes into the game, Austine Bobolayefa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wembley's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Middleton on the Wold United the free kick. After 80 played minutes Wembley got a freekick which was hit by Austine Bobolayefa. Kurzform Adediwuras short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Muyiwa Abubakar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Muyiwa Abubakar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Austine Bobolayefa in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th match minute, Wembley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ekukinam Gumbari to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute of the match Amaechi Ehikwe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olejuru Ojo skillfully saved the ball. When Onyekachi Atoyebi fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Middleton on the Wold United's protests and gave Onyekachi Atoyebi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Middleton on the Wold United getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Onyekachi Atoyebi hit a great ball. Austine Bobolayefa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Muyiwa Abubakar having to make a save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Wembley eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
