An unexpectedly hard shot by Rabiu Onwuachi in the 8th minute of play forced Redruth AFC's goalkeeper Opeyemi Betara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rabiu Onwuachi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Opeyemi Betara having to interfere. Chinwendu Adekwu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Babajide Ofoche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the game, Middleton on the Wold United's Ete Charlie Adaji nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Opeyemi Betara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Rabiu Onwuachi came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Middleton on the Wold United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rabiu Onwuachi couldn't finish the play. Emmanuel Okon Akpanaha kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Babajide Ofoche got free with Muyiwa Abubakar in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28th minute Rabiu Onwuachi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Opeyemi Betara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Okwuoma Abodunde kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Middleton on the Wold United's Rabiu Onwuachi got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Chinwendu Adekwu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Middleton on the Wold United's Ete Charlie Adaji sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Opeyemi Betara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half Middleton on the Wold United were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ete Charlie Adaji to strike the kick off in the second half. When Babajide Ofoche came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Redruth AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Babajide Ofoche couldn't finish the play. In the 59th match minute, Redruth AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tijjani Itulah to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Redruth AFC's Opeyemi Betara got control of the ball when Rabiu Onwuachi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chinwendu Adekwu might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Muyiwa Abubakar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chinwendu Adekwu ran back to his position shaking his head. Opeyemi Betara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ete Charlie Adaji , who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. If Ete Charlie Adaji had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 77 played minutes Redruth AFC got a freekick which was hit by Okwuoma Abodunde. Muyiwa Abubakar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Babajide Ofoche in the 78th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Redruth AFC's Chinwendu Adekwu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Muyiwa Abubakar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rabiu Onwuachi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Opeyemi Betara when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Muyiwa Abubakar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Babajide Ofoche went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The Middleton on the Wold United players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Redruth AFC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
