After a defensive mix-up in Al-nassar's zone, Adolphus Enebechi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Somsom Sunday came out of the goal and Adolphus Enebechi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Somsom Sunday took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolphus Enebechi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolphus Enebechi in the 19th minute of play forced Al-nassar's goalkeeper Somsom Sunday to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Somsom Sunday made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolphus Enebechi in the 24th minute of play. Adolphus Enebechi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Somsom Sunday tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Somsom Sunday made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Raymond Akiti sent off a good shot on target. Ositadimma Ungbo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tasiu Onwuzuruike having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Al-nassar's Somsom Sunday played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raymond Akiti in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolphus Enebechi in the 62nd minute of play forced Al-nassar's goalkeeper Somsom Sunday to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sylvester Aneke kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 79th minute Raymond Akiti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Somsom Sunday saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Margate's Akabueze Dickson got a free kick in the 81st minute. 84 minutes into the match, Al-nassar's goal looked a bit too open when Raymond Akiti came free, but Somsom Sunday reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jolaoya Ukpabi's late challenge caught a Margate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jolaoya Ukpabi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th minute, Jolaoya Ukpabi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 89 played minutes, Margate's Joseph Okwudili shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Somsom Sunday came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Margate reached it. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Margate had played much better football throughout.
