Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 19 played minutes Kettering got a freekick which was hit by Onyewuchi Habu. If Onyewuchi Habu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute of the match Ndukaku Eyitayo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iloabuchi Dandaraman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 28 minutes into the game, Onyeka Shehuri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Feranmi cf's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kettering the free kick. Onyeka Shehuri kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Aderemi Ballah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Onyewuchi Habu, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Onyewuchi Habu in the 35th minute of play forced Feranmi cf's goalkeeper Aderemi Ballah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gideon Nnaemeka fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Feranmi cf's protests and gave Gideon Nnaemeka a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Feranmi cf's Gideon Nnaemeka got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Feranmi cf's goalkeeper Aderemi Ballah, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chinagorom Adeyinka got free with Aderemi Ballah in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Kettering's Aderemi Ballah threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Onyewuchi Habu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ugonna Benneth was the one to do the kick off. Iloabuchi Dandaraman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ugonna Benneth, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Iloabuchi Dandaraman didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Feranmi cf's Godwin Ismaila Taiwo shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the match, Feranmi cf's goal looked a bit too open when Onyewuchi Habu came free, but Aderemi Ballah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ugonna Benneth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Feranmi cf's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
