After 19 played minutes Kettering got a freekick which was hit by Chidozie Akinola. Chinagorom Adeyinka who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Ita Sarki when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 24 played minutes nibc fc got a freekick which was hit by Dauda Desalu. Onyewuchi Habu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. After 92 played minutes, Kettering's Samson Etoh Udemgba shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ita Sarki came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kettering reached it. Ita Sarki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chinagorom Adeyinka, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the nibc fc players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kettering.
