Ajayi Dunmade hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Tobenna Onigbanjo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nebeuwa Onwuzuruike read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kodilinyechukwu Amagu during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Morecambe booed when Rockers United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ajayi Dunmade didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, Nweke Naeche sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Rockers United's Badamasi Ejide didn't even have to move. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Morecambe's goalkeeper Nebeuwa Onwuzuruike, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 21st match minute, Rockers United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ajayi Dunmade to maneuver through the defense. Badamasi Ejide took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chikwendu Aiyetan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Rockers United booed when Morecambe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hakeem Omolafe didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Tobenna Onigbanjo took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Nebeuwa Onwuzuruike to make any attempt to save it. A hard shot 29 in the game by Babajide Odoko from a close distance when the talented Nebeuwa Onwuzuruike managed to make a qualified save. Morecambe's players were relieved. Okwukwe Obadiah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chikwendu Aiyetan in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Badamasi Ejide prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tobenna Onigbanjo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nebeuwa Onwuzuruike having to interfere. During the 37th minute of the match Kodilinyechukwu Amagu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Kodilinyechukwu Amagu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Kodilinyechukwu Amagu kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Ajayi Dunmade scored 2-0 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nebeuwa Onwuzuruike, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tobenna Onigbanjo was the one to do the kick off. After 54 minutes Rockers United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nweke Naeche who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Nweke Naeche got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Badamasi Ejide quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Morecambe's Nebeuwa Onwuzuruike played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobenna Onigbanjo in the 60th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rockers United's zone, Hakeem Omolafe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Badamasi Ejide came out of the goal and Hakeem Omolafe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Chikwendu Aiyetan, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 65 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Badamasi Ejide was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Hakeem Agu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nweke Naeche was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 70th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Badamasi Ejide took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Okwukwe Obadiah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ajayi Dunmade was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 73 minutes had been played. Ajayi Dunmade hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. When Babajide Odoko came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Rockers United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Babajide Odoko couldn't finish the play. 85 minutes into the match, Morecambe's Chikwendu Aiyetan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Badamasi Ejide narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hakeem Omolafe struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Badamasi Ejide didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Morecambe. 90 minutes into the match, Morecambe's goal looked a bit too open when Babajide Odoko came free, but Nebeuwa Onwuzuruike reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rockers United's goalkeeper Badamasi Ejide, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Babajide Odoko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nebeuwa Onwuzuruike having to interfere. Rockers United were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Morecambe for a fine match.
