Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ossy Nwanyinnaya made the kick off which started today's match. Ndudi Agboare made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Chikwendu Aiyetan sent off a good shot on target. Akeem Agboola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nebeuwa Onwuzuruike having to interfere. Ebelechukwu Uwaifo charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ebelechukwu Uwaifo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of Latchingdon:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Morecambe:s goal. Ossy Nwanyinnaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nebeuwa Onwuzuruike having to interfere. Ndudi Agboare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Okwukwe Obadiah in the 22nd minute of play. Morecambe's Chikwendu Aiyetan got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nwokike Adekwu hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. The supporters of Latchingdon booed when Morecambe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hakeem Omolafe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nebeuwa Onwuzuruike didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ossy Nwanyinnaya went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Okwukwe Obadiah stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ndudi Agboare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chikwendu Aiyetan in the 52nd minute of play. After having played for 54 minutes, Akeem Agboola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Latchingdon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Akeem Agboola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Okwukwe Obadiah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th match minute, Latchingdon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maxwell Adebona to maneuver through the defense. Okwukwe Obadiah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ndudi Agboare having to interfere. Nebeuwa Onwuzuruike showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ossy Nwanyinnaya in the 65th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Okwukwe Obadiah in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ndudi Agboare prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ossy Nwanyinnaya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Nebeuwa Onwuzuruike tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nebeuwa Onwuzuruike was a little too slow when Ossy Nwanyinnaya got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 1-2. If Okwukwe Obadiah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute Ossy Nwanyinnaya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nebeuwa Onwuzuruike saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Morecambe's Hakeem Omolafe got a free kick in the 85th minute. If Akeem Agboola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Chikwendu Aiyetan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Morecambe's supporters rose to their feet, but Chikwendu Aiyetan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ndudi Agboare breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Latchingdon walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
