Akeem Agboolas short, quick shot in the 4thth minute got Bolakale Mbanongun to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 9th minute Ossy Nwanyinnaya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bolakale Mbanongun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ndudi Agboare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from James Adanri, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Andy Awhu-whu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beast FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Andy Awhu-whu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ndudi Agboare breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 27 minutes, Maxwell Adebona mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Latchingdon and the Beast FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 27 played minutes Latchingdon got a freekick which was hit by Maxwell Adebona. Bolakale Mbanongun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ossy Nwanyinnaya in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Bina Onyinyechi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beast FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Latchingdon the free kick. After a rather tough play, Beast FC's Bina Onyinyechi got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Beast FC's Wilfred Nkwocha got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ndudi Agboare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andy Awhu-whu in the 41st minute of play. In the 41st minute, Mikel Lamba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. James Adanri struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Ndudi Agboare didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beast FC.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andy Awhu-whu to make the kick off. Ugonna Obafuso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bolakale Mbanongun having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maxwell Adebona in the 52nd minute of play forced Beast FC's goalkeeper Bolakale Mbanongun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Beast FC's Bina Onyinyechi got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute Ossy Nwanyinnaya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bolakale Mbanongun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Andy Awhu-whu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ndudi Agboare. That made the score 0-1 in the 64 minute of play. James Adanri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ndudi Agboare having to make a save. Wilfred Nkwocha who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Ndudi Agboare when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the Beast FC defense, Ossy Nwanyinnaya kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bolakale Mbanongun. The Beast FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bolakale Mbanongun should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Latchingdon's zone, Andy Awhu-whu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ndudi Agboare came out of the goal and Andy Awhu-whu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Latchingdon getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Ugonna Obafuso hit a great ball. Bina Onyinyechi hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Maxwell Adebona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Bolakale Mbanongun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
