No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Babajide Odoko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eseme Daika read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Kunaiyi Owomoyela charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kunaiyi Owomoyela the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Babajide Odoko in the 57th minute of play forced Fleetwood City's goalkeeper Eseme Daika to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eseme Daika stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tobenna Onigbanjo's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tobenna Onigbanjo in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eseme Daika saved Fleetwood City from getting behind. In the 70th minute there was a penalty for Rockers United. Nike Aboyade stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eseme Daika. 2-0. Babajide Odoko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Eseme Daika tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tobenna Onigbanjo struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Eseme Daika didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rockers United. There was no doubt that Rockers United were the better team. Rockers United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
