One of Fleetwood City:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Latchingdon:s goal. Agboola Dayo walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Akeem Agboola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ossy Nwanyinnaya struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Eseme Daika didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Latchingdon. In the 16th minute Ossy Nwanyinnaya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eseme Daika saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Fleetwood City's Yussuf Akinsehinde got a free kick in the 16th minute. Ossy Nwanyinnaya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ossy Nwanyinnaya came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Latchingdon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ossy Nwanyinnaya couldn't finish the play. Akeem Agboola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Latchingdon booed when Fleetwood City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nebeuwa Eboh didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Fleetwood City defense, Ossy Nwanyinnaya kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eseme Daika. The Fleetwood City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eseme Daika should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Latchingdon getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Mikel Lamba hit a great ball. Eseme Daika showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ossy Nwanyinnaya, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Latchingdon's Akeem Agboola got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Ebii Ekpo might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ndudi Agboare. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ebii Ekpo ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Ossy Nwanyinnaya's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eseme Daika was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. The Latchingdon fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Latchingdon's Akeem Agboola looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Akeem Agboola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eseme Daika made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Akeem Agboola sent off a good shot on target. Ebelechukwu Uwaifo charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ebelechukwu Uwaifo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 66th minute, Ebelechukwu Uwaifo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Ebii Ekpo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ndudi Agboare was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Yussuf Akinsehinde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ndudi Agboare having to interfere. A collision led to Fleetwood City getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Yussuf Akinsehinde hit a great ball. If Nebeuwa Eboh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Ossy Nwanyinnaya managed to get in a good position for a shot. Latchingdon's supporters rose to their feet, but Ossy Nwanyinnaya was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eseme Daika breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Latchingdon's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
