The corner was taken by Aniedi Bunu in the 15th minute. After taking down the ball on Bromsgrove's corner Aniedi Bunu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bolakale Mbanongun quite easily take care of the ball. James Adanri in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tomi Siasia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Beast FC booed when Bromsgrove was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Udokamma Afolayan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andy Awhu-whu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomi Siasia having to interfere. In the 36thth minute of the game Adolphus Egboh who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Beast FC's Bolakale Mbanongun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. James Adanri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Tomi Siasia made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when James Adanri got free with Tomi Siasia in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andy Awhu-whu was the one to do the kick off. Tomi Siasia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from James Adanri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bolakale Mbanongun made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Ndukaku Amadi sent off a good shot on target. When Bina Onyinyechi fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Beast FC's protests and gave Bina Onyinyechi a yellow card for diving instead. Bina Onyinyechi hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Mohammed Yashim's late challenge caught a Bromsgrove's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mohammed Yashim helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Bromsgrove booed when Beast FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohammed Yashim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomi Siasia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from James Adanri, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 81st minute Andy Awhu-whu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomi Siasia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bolakale Mbanongun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolphus Egboh in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Adolphus Egboh fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Bolakale Mbanongun, passed just outside the right post. An unexpected shot in the 89th minute by Ndukaku Amadi got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Adolphus Egboh struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Bolakale Mbanongun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bromsgrove. In the 94th minute, Wilfred Nkwocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Beast FC's Bolakale Mbanongun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolphus Egboh in the 97th minute of play. Bromsgrove's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
