The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ibezim Dikko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nasidi Akinrolabu in the 3rd minute of the match. After having played for 8 minutes, Mohammadu Adeeko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bath FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mohammadu Adeeko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ibezim Dikko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mohammadu Adeeko in the 10th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Bath FC's Pius Donatus got a free kick in the 11th minute. If Mohammadu Adeeko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bath FC's Mohammadu Adeeko got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Barcelona fc's goal looked a bit too open when Nasidi Akinrolabu came free, but Ibezim Dikko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tagbo Udechukwu hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Barcelona fc's zone, Nasidi Akinrolabu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ibezim Dikko came out of the goal and Nasidi Akinrolabu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 26 minutes, Jacob Ekata mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barcelona fc and the Bath FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jacob Ekata kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After having played for 27 minutes, Nasidi Akinrolabu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bath FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nasidi Akinrolabu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Philemon Ahangba got free with Friday Yekini in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 32 minutes into the match, Barcelona fc's goal looked a bit too open when Mohammadu Adeeko came free, but Ibezim Dikko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nasidi Akinrolabu in the 35th minute of play forced Barcelona fc's goalkeeper Ibezim Dikko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 37 played minutes Barcelona fc got a freekick which was hit by Eberechukwu Okereafor. In the 39th minute Bath FC were awarded a corner. Waga Oguche went to the cornerflag to take it. Bath FC's Waga Oguche was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ibezim Dikko in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 42ndth minute of the game Nasidi Akinrolabu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barcelona fc's Ibezim Dikko was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mohammadu Adeeko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ibezim Dikko having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Mudschahid Kimitei made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Barcelona fc booed when Bath FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pius Donatus didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 58 minutes, Ogunmola Olagoke Abonta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bath FC and the Barcelona fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Bath FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Ogunmola Olagoke Abonta hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mudschahid Kimitei in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Friday Yekini saved Bath FC from getting behind. In the 61st minute, Mudschahid Kimitei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bath FC's Friday Yekini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Philemon Ahangba in the 65th minute of play. Mohammadu Adeeko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nasidi Akinrolabu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Ibezim Dikko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Barcelona fc's Tagbo Udechukwu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of Bath FC booed when Barcelona fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Buka Sangobowale didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute, Dogo Okala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Philemon Ahangba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Friday Yekini came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Barcelona fc's Philemon Ahangba. But to his dismay, Philemon Ahangba quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Barcelona fc were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Bath FC for a fine match.
