Dumeto Oyinlola struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Adolphus Ishitile didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Amberley. Adolphus Ishitile stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Philemon Aghanya's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Emy Isiaka charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emy Isiaka the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Philemon Aghanya managed to get in a good position for a shot. Amberley's supporters rose to their feet, but Philemon Aghanya was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolphus Ishitile breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 15 played minutes Mullen got a freekick which was hit by Haruna Adedina. If Emy Isiaka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amberley's Emy Isiaka pulled a muscle in his leg after 22 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Haruna Adedina during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 23rd minute, Haruna Adedina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Philemon Aghanya in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adolphus Ishitile prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Sani Kabir managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Mullen's Umar Nwagborocha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Amberley's Philemon Aghanya in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mullen's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Philemon Aghanya in the 32nd minute of play forced Mullen's goalkeeper Adolphus Ishitile to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Mullen's Umar Nwagborocha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sani Kabir narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Amberley's Sulaimon Gona got a free kick in the 40th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Adolphus Ishitile made an important save on a dangerous shot by Philemon Aghanya in the 57th minute. The supporters of Mullen booed when Amberley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jebo Dogo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th match minute, Amberley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Minabo Anyamkegh to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute Jebo Adediwura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sani Kabir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Amberley's Philemon Aghanya sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adolphus Ishitile narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dumeto Oyinlola scored 0-1 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adolphus Ishitile, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Philemon Aghanya could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Adolphus Ishitile made a huge save. Dumeto Oyinlola blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adolphus Ishitile having to make a save. Philemon Aghanya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Adolphus Ishitile tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adenuga Maikunkele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Philemon Aghanya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd match minute, Mullen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haruna Adedina to maneuver through the defense. Philemon Aghanya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 88th minute by Adenuga Maikunkele got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Umar Nwagborocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sani Kabir having to interfere. In the 93rd match minute, Amberley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adenuga Maikunkele to maneuver through the defense. Adenuga Maikunkele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Amberley could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mullen throughout the match.
