Chinonyelum Eyoma charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chinonyelum Eyoma the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th minute, Chinonyelum Eyoma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anenechi Badmus came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Sutton Valence's Mojolaoluwa Omenka. But to his dismay, Mojolaoluwa Omenka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Chika Okiemute made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nwannedimma Abe in the 10th minute. Tope Onyechere charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tope Onyechere the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 16 minutes, Gordon Ogungbure mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sutton Valence and the Blue Eagles FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sutton Valence! In the 18th minute of the game, Blue Eagles FC got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. A collision led to Sutton Valence getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Tope Onyechere hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, Blue Eagles FC's Chinonyelum Eyoma broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Godson Babayaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 47 played minutes Blue Eagles FC got a freekick which was hit by Som Dooyum. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Olalekan Tiger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anenechi Badmus having to interfere. Anenechi Badmus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olalekan Tiger in the 55th minute of play. When Temitope Bagudo fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blue Eagles FC's protests and gave Temitope Bagudo a yellow card for diving instead. Temitope Bagudo kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Olalekan Tiger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Anenechi Badmus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Blue Eagles FC's Anenechi Badmus got control of the ball when Mojolaoluwa Omenka tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 59 minutes, Furo Abiola mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sutton Valence and the Blue Eagles FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sutton Valence's Furo Abiola got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute, Chinonyelum Eyoma sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sutton Valence's Chika Okiemute didn't even have to move. Nwannedimma Abe struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Chika Okiemute didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blue Eagles FC. Mojolaoluwa Omenka could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Anenechi Badmus made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mojolaoluwa Omenka got free with Anenechi Badmus in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chika Okiemute made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godson Babayaro in the 75th minute of play. Nwannedimma Abe struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Chika Okiemute didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blue Eagles FC. After having played for 80 minutes, Nwannedimma Abe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blue Eagles FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nwannedimma Abe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Blue Eagles FC's Nwannedimma Abe got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tope Onyechere's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anenechi Badmus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Sutton Valence's Tope Onyechere got his second yellow card of the match in the 92nd minute. The referee ordered Tope Onyechere off the ground. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Mojolaoluwa Omenka managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sutton Valence's supporters rose to their feet, but Mojolaoluwa Omenka was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anenechi Badmus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Blue Eagles FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sutton Valence had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
