When Osar Ayara came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Halton Holegate AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osar Ayara couldn't finish the play. Adegun Elejiko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jebo Adediwura in the 33rd minute of play. Osar Ayara might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adolphus Ishitile. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Osar Ayara ran back to his position shaking his head. Olisanugo Achilike sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olisanugo Achilike in the 43rd minute of play forced Mullen's goalkeeper Adolphus Ishitile to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
