Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Simon Banye made the kick off which started today's match. Kent Nkut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akubundu Bunu having to interfere. Nnamdi Akeredolu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Banye in the 7th minute of the match. When Makama Akoza fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Knottingley FC's protests and gave Makama Akoza a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th match minute, Knottingley FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Makama Akoza to maneuver through the defense. Onyeka Nakudu struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Akubundu Bunu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Harrogate. Kent Nkut might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Akubundu Bunu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kent Nkut ran back to his position shaking his head. Kent Nkut recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 21 played minutes, Harrogate's Tosin Okigbo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Akubundu Bunu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Harrogate reached it. If Kent Nkut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Nonye Ajasin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Akubundu Bunu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Onyeka Nakudu, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The supporters of Harrogate booed when Knottingley FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nonye Ajasin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Onyeka Nakudu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Akubundu Bunu was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Knottingley FC's zone, Kent Nkut stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Akubundu Bunu came out of the goal and Kent Nkut tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Onyeka Nakudu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Akubundu Bunu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kent Nkut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Akubundu Bunu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Onyeka Nakudu in the 47th minute of play. Knottingley FC's Akubundu Bunu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kent Nkut in the 49th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kent Nkut stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Knottingley FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aluka Bada came free, but Akubundu Bunu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Akubundu Bunu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kent Nkut in the 61st minute of play. Kent Nkut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Akubundu Bunu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Nonye Ajasin was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 82 minutes had been played. Kent Nkut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Akubundu Bunu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kent Nkut recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute, Kent Nkut got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kent Nkut during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kent Nkut hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Akubundu Bunu was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Onyeka Nakudu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Onyeka Nakudu really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Harrogate played a much better game than Knottingley FC and deserved their victory. The Knottingley FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
