Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Derby AFC's Mezie Roro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Mannaseh Adejoh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the match, Derby AFC's Shola Achebo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bukar Eikhali narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 13th minute Okoli Madugu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manga Lartey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Chelsea FC's zone, Mezie Roro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bukar Eikhali came out of the goal and Mezie Roro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Derby AFC booed when Chelsea FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nna Egah didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 19 in the game by Shola Achebo from a close distance when the talented Bukar Eikhali managed to make a qualified save. Chelsea FC's players were relieved. Chiazagomekpele Aiyetan's late challenge caught a Chelsea FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chiazagomekpele Aiyetan helped the player get up and apologised. After 23 played minutes Derby AFC got a freekick which was hit by Chiazagomekpele Aiyetan. Mma Onobi kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Shola Achebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bukar Eikhali having to interfere. Chelsea FC's Bukar Eikhali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mezie Roro in the 32nd minute of play. Bukar Eikhali made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Shola Achebo sent off a good shot on target. Mma Onobi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Okoli Madugu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Manga Lartey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mezie Roro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Bukar Eikhali came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Derby AFC's Chiazagomekpele Aiyetan. But to his dismay, Chiazagomekpele Aiyetan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Derby AFC! Derby AFC:s Manga Lartey showed great skill when he stopped Ejii Godwin:s penalty. After a rather tough play, Chelsea FC's Nna Egah got a free kick in the 66th minute. Mezie Roro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Emmanuel Okon Alechenu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Derby AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Emmanuel Okon Alechenu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bukar Eikhali breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bukar Eikhali took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mezie Roro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 80 minutes, Chiedozie Adejube mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chelsea FC and the Derby AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Chelsea FC's Chiedozie Adejube got a free kick in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mezie Roro in the 86th minute of play forced Chelsea FC's goalkeeper Bukar Eikhali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bukar Eikhali came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Derby AFC's Mezie Roro. But to his dismay, Mezie Roro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Bukar Eikhali showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mezie Roro, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Bukar Eikhali showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mezie Roro in the 91st minute of the match. Mma Onobi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dahiru Khumbotso hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Derby AFC had played much better football throughout.
