Carterton United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Idoko Brown Agunu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Titilayo Abbey in the 38th minute. Chike Abacha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Idoko Brown Agunu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Kwemto Akinwunmi's late challenge caught a Carterton United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 71st match minute, FC Pirate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Akhiromen Apiafi to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of FC Pirate:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Carterton United:s goal. Okwuadigbo Godwin struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Idoko Brown Agunu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Titilayo Abbey in the 91st minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, FC Pirate's goal looked a bit too open when Chike Abacha came free, but Idoko Brown Agunu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute of the match Dube Oyeoku sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Idoko Brown Agunu skillfully saved the ball. FC Pirate's Iyke Elejiko got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
