Spectators: 8419 (Terracing: 6315, Seating: 1936, VIP seats: 168) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Okwuadigbo Godwin kicked off to start the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geoffrey Lala in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Idoko Brown Agunu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Banye in the 7th minute of play forced FC Pirate's goalkeeper Idoko Brown Agunu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Iyke Elejiko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geoffrey Lala blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Idoko Brown Agunu having to make a save. Idoko Brown Agunu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Banye in the 29th minute of play. After 31 minutes, Kwemto Akinwunmi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Pirate and the Knottingley FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kwemto Akinwunmi kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geoffrey Lala in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Idoko Brown Agunu saved FC Pirate from getting behind. Simon Banye recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Knottingley FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Kalu Isiaka hit a great ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Simon Banye to strike the kick off in the second half. Idoko Brown Agunu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Banye, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60thth minute of the game Simon Banye who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Pirate's Idoko Brown Agunu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Geoffrey Lala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Idoko Brown Agunu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eberechukwu Adekoje charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eberechukwu Adekoje the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 65 minutes into the game, one of FC Pirate:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Knottingley FC a penalty, 67 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Kalu Isiaka, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Pirate's Idoko Brown Agunu. 0-1. Geoffrey Lala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Okwuadigbo Godwin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Akubundu Bunu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Okwuadigbo Godwin, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Simon Banye sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th match minute, FC Pirate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kwemto Akinwunmi to maneuver through the defense. Idoko Brown Agunu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Simon Banye's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Idoko Brown Agunu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Banye, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When the final whistle sounded Knottingley FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Pirate.
