Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Azuka Obasa made the kick off which started today's match. Osonduagwuike Obeleagu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gozie Obikwelu having to interfere. Gozie Obikwelu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Azuka Obasa in the 6th minute of play. In the 11th minute Azuka Obasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gozie Obikwelu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mudschahid Oloukun, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 15 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Ajuluchukwu Gulma was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When Sutton Valence's Osonduagwuike Obeleagu in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rawmarsh's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Rawmarsh getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Taye Oliseh hit a great ball. In the 21st minute, Osonduagwuike Obeleagu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Osonduagwuike Obeleagu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sutton Valence's supporters rose to their feet, but Osonduagwuike Obeleagu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gozie Obikwelu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ajuluchukwu Gulma came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Rawmarsh's Oyeyiola Olutola. But to his dismay, Oyeyiola Olutola quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 33rd match minute, Rawmarsh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mudschahid Oloukun to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the game, Onuchukwu Anwuta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rawmarsh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sutton Valence the free kick. In the 34th minute, Onuchukwu Anwuta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 36 played minutes, Sutton Valence's Ettah Makama shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gozie Obikwelu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sutton Valence reached it. After 38 minutes, Ettah Makama mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sutton Valence and the Rawmarsh players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Rawmarsh booed when Sutton Valence was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ettah Makama didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Sutton Valence's Ajuluchukwu Gulma got control of the ball when Oyeyiola Olutola tried to sneak it across the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Rawmarsh's goal looked a bit too open when Azuka Obasa came free, but Gozie Obikwelu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ugorji Uwagwu kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Gozie Obikwelu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezekiel Ademodi, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mudschahid Oloukun to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Mudschahid Oloukun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Azuka Obasa in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gozie Obikwelu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 63 minutes into the match, Rawmarsh's goal looked a bit too open when Azuka Obasa came free, but Gozie Obikwelu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute, Onyinyechukwuka Obeleagu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Rawmarsh's Kanayo Idiege got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Osonduagwuike Obeleagu charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Osonduagwuike Obeleagu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Sutton Valence getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Osonduagwuike Obeleagu hit a great ball. In the 76th minute Oyeyiola Olutola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ajuluchukwu Gulma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 78 minutes, Oyeyiola Olutola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rawmarsh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oyeyiola Olutola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Rawmarsh's zone, Azuka Obasa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gozie Obikwelu came out of the goal and Azuka Obasa tried to chip the ball over his head.
