Eluem Alagala's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bukar Eikhali read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Okoli Madugu during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Chelsea FC's Bukar Eikhali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ojore Ochegbulu in the 28th minute of play. Labaran Alozie took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bukar Eikhali. After a rather tough play, Chelsea FC's Mannaseh Adejoh got a free kick in the 38th minute. When Ojore Ochegbulu came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Swaffham FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ojore Ochegbulu couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Chelsea FC's zone, Eluem Alagala stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bukar Eikhali came out of the goal and Eluem Alagala tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eluem Alagala in the 46th minute of play forced Chelsea FC's goalkeeper Bukar Eikhali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eluem Alagala made a kick off.
