Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Simon Banye made the kick off which started today's match. Akubundu Bunu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mezie Roro, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Mezie Roro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Akubundu Bunu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mezie Roro scored 1-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Akubundu Bunu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Shola Achebo in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Akubundu Bunu saved Knottingley FC from getting behind. Geoffrey Lala took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manga Lartey. Manga Lartey dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 22 minutes into the match, Knottingley FC's Simon Banye sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manga Lartey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Simon Banye sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Akubundu Bunu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mezie Roro's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Shola Achebo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Akubundu Bunu having to make a save. Akubundu Bunu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mezie Roro in the 36th minute of play. When Shola Achebo came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Derby AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shola Achebo couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mezie Roro in the 43rd minute of play forced Knottingley FC's goalkeeper Akubundu Bunu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simon Banye sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 48 minutes into the match, Derby AFC's goalkeeper Manga Lartey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geoffrey Lala. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

It was a well-played corner which Emmanuel Okon Alechenu managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Shola Achebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Akubundu Bunu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, Makama Akoza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Knottingley FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Derby AFC the free kick. Makama Akoza kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After having played for 65 minutes, Mezie Roro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Derby AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mezie Roro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70th minute there was a penalty for Derby AFC. Dahiru Khumbotso stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Akubundu Bunu. 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shola Achebo got free with Akubundu Bunu in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Akubundu Bunu managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Derby AFC's Shola Achebo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 79 minutes into the match, Derby AFC's Dahiru Khumbotso broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to Knottingley FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Makama Akoza hit a great ball. Shola Achebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mezie Roro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the game, Chiazagomekpele Aiyetan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Akubundu Bunu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 96 minutes, Geoffrey Lala managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knottingley FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geoffrey Lala was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
