Spectators: 8439 (Terracing: 6330, Seating: 1941, VIP seats: 168) Baldock's Isaiah Chilaka started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Muhammad Ijeh in the 8th minute of play forced Desto's goalkeeper Bola Akinyele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bola Akinyele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oddy Taiwo in the 13th minute of play. Oddy Taiwo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bola Akinyele having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Desto's zone, Isaiah Chilaka stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bola Akinyele came out of the goal and Isaiah Chilaka tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Ogochukwu Esin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Desto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ogochukwu Esin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Isaiah Chilaka kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Lam Okoroanyanwu struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Dauda Adaramoye didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Desto. 28 minutes into the match, Lam Okoroanyanwu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dauda Adaramoye. Baldock's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lam Okoroanyanwu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Desto's Bola Akinyele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaiah Chilaka in the 35th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Desto's Lam Okoroanyanwu got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 41st minute, Isaiah Chilaka made a precise shot to the right of Bola Akinyele. Desto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After having played for 47 minutes, Ogochukwu Esin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Desto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ogochukwu Esin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henry Gana was the one to do the kick off. Henry Gana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dauda Adaramoye having to interfere. Henry Gana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dauda Adaramoye read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. After 59 minutes of play, Baldock's Isaiah Chilaka made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bola Akinyele was left in no man's land by his defense there! 62 minutes into the game, Desto's Ogochukwu Esin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dauda Adaramoye made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Desto's Bola Akinyele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaiah Chilaka in the 65th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Baldock's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Gana came free, but Dauda Adaramoye reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ogochukwu Esin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dauda Adaramoye having to interfere. Mojolaoluwa Abugu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Baldock getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Oddy Taiwo hit a great ball. Bola Akinyele made an important save on a dangerous shot by Somadina Olowosuko in the 75th minute. When Desto's Henry Gana in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Baldock's goalie prevented a goal. Dauda Adaramoye showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lam Okoroanyanwu, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Desto's goalkeeper Bola Akinyele had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Somadina Olowosuko. Oddy Taiwo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bola Akinyele having to interfere. In the 86th minute of the match, Muhammad Ijeh tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bola Akinyele saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to Baldock getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Ayila Ebiede hit a great ball. The supporters of Desto booed when Baldock was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ololade Adebanjo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
