Spectators: 8040 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1940, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Osita Amu kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute Osita Amu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Okwaraji saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deeyah Adebodun in the 5th minute of play forced Banfield's goalkeeper William Okwaraji to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the game, Yau Agu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Banfield's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rawtenstall the free kick. In the 7th minute, one of Banfield:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Banfield. The referee gave Rawtenstall a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Kosi Adefarasin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Banfield's William Okwaraji. 0-1. 13 minutes into the game, one of Rawtenstall:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a defensive mix-up in Rawtenstall's zone, Mudschahid Malami stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Otitodilichukwu Echiegu came out of the goal and Mudschahid Malami tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nwokike Adaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Otitodilichukwu Echiegu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Banfield booed when Rawtenstall was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dammy Okunowo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Banfield's William Okwaraji played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rapuokwu Ijemere in the 23rd minute of play. After 24 played minutes Banfield got a freekick which was hit by Richard Shonekan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osita Amu in the 29th minute of play forced Banfield's goalkeeper William Okwaraji to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rapuokwu Ijemere succeeded in the game's 30th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. William Okwaraji made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deeyah Adebodun in the 32nd minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Banfield's goal looked a bit too open when Rapuokwu Ijemere came free, but William Okwaraji reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. William Okwaraji took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osita Amu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dammy Okunowo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Okwaraji having to interfere. When Richard Shonekan fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Banfield's protests and gave Richard Shonekan a yellow card for diving instead. Richard Shonekan hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Obiajulu Abhiele hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. William Okwaraji didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rapuokwu Ijemere went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nwokike Adaga to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Banfield's William Okwaraji got control of the ball when Rapuokwu Ijemere tried to sneak it across the goal line. William Okwaraji made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Rapuokwu Ijemere sent off a good shot on target. William Okwaraji made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osita Amu in the 62nd minute of play. Dammy Okunowo hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Rapuokwu Ijemere's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but William Okwaraji firmly grabbed it by the left post. William Okwaraji made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osita Amu in the 67th minute of play. William Okwaraji showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osita Amu, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Thanks to some nice moves Rapuokwu Ijemere could shoot a difficult shot in the 75th minute, which William Okwaraji however easily saved by the left post. Banfield's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Osita Amu 77 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. In the 87th minute, Deeyah Adebodun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ekenedilichukwu Uchendu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Otitodilichukwu Echiegu having to make a save. William Okwaraji showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osita Amu, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 95 minutes into the match, Nwokike Adaga notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Rawtenstall's Otitodilichukwu Echiegu. Otitodilichukwu Echiegu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rawtenstall's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
