Dauda Adaramoye showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Temple Aiyetan, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Isaiah Chilaka struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Deyour Oyai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baldock. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Deyour Oyai successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Rachidi Ajanaku had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Deyour Oyai managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Baldock's Somadina Olowosuko fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Lagos FC's zone, Isaiah Chilaka stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Deyour Oyai came out of the goal and Isaiah Chilaka tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Rachidi Ajanaku had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lagos FC's goalkeeper Deyour Oyai, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Somadina Olowosuko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Deyour Oyai read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Isaiah Chilaka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deyour Oyai having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Somadina Olowosuko made a precise shot to the right of Deyour Oyai. Lagos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Temple Aiyetan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Somadina Olowosuko might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Deyour Oyai. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Somadina Olowosuko ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Lagos FC defense, Isaiah Chilaka kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Deyour Oyai. The Lagos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Deyour Oyai should have stopped the shot. Deyour Oyai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Somadina Olowosuko in the 64th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Lagos FC's zone, Isaiah Chilaka stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Deyour Oyai came out of the goal and Isaiah Chilaka tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 68 minutes, Somadina Olowosuko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baldock's supporters crossed their fingers, but Somadina Olowosuko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Temple Aiyetan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dauda Adaramoye having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Temple Aiyetan in the 75th minute of play forced Baldock's goalkeeper Dauda Adaramoye to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute Temple Aiyetan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dauda Adaramoye saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Baldock's zone, Temple Aiyetan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dauda Adaramoye came out of the goal and Temple Aiyetan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oddy Taiwo hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, Muda Adebesin sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Baldock's Dauda Adaramoye didn't even have to move. Deyour Oyai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Somadina Olowosuko in the 86th minute of the match. Bassey Fajemirokun hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Baldock's zone, Rachidi Ajanaku stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dauda Adaramoye came out of the goal and Rachidi Ajanaku tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isaiah Chilaka in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Deyour Oyai prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 99th minute of the match Bassey Fajemirokun sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Deyour Oyai skillfully saved the ball. Baldock were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Lagos FC for a fine match.
