Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Deyour Oyai came out of the goal and Ositadimma Olaoye tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Deyour Oyai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ositadimma Olaoye in the 16th minute of play. A hard shot 17 in the game by Chukwuraenye Arumona from a close distance when the talented Deyour Oyai managed to make a qualified save. Lagos FC's players were relieved. 23 minutes into the game, Ime Imaji was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lagos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lincoln FC the free kick. A collision led to Lincoln FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Chukwuraenye Arumona hit a great ball. Akubundu Adefulu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Temple Aiyetan in the 28th minute of play. Lincoln FC's Akubundu Adefulu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rachidi Ajanaku in the 29th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rachidi Ajanaku in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Akubundu Adefulu saved Lincoln FC from getting behind. Chukwuraenye Arumona could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Deyour Oyai made a huge save. Chukwuraenye Arumona struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Deyour Oyai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lincoln FC. After a rather tough play, Lagos FC's Nnachetam Kato got a free kick in the 41st minute. Lagos FC's Ime Imaji got his second yellow card of the match in the 47th minute. The referee ordered Ime Imaji off the ground. A collision led to Lagos FC getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Ime Imaji hit a great ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rachidi Ajanaku stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Ositadimma Olaoye got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Temple Aiyetan kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Lincoln FC's Ositadimma Olaoye got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chukwuraenye Arumona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deyour Oyai having to interfere. When Ganiyu Agba fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lincoln FC's protests and gave Ganiyu Agba a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th minute, Ganiyu Agba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 69 minutes, Rachidi Ajanaku mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lagos FC and the Lincoln FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 69th match minute, Lagos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rachidi Ajanaku to maneuver through the defense. Chukwuraenye Arumona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Lagos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ositadimma Olaoye came free, but Deyour Oyai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Temple Aiyetan's late challenge caught a Lincoln FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Temple Aiyetan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 75th match minute, Lagos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Temple Aiyetan to maneuver through the defense. Nwabugwu Jazom was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 76th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The attack was good, but when Chukwuraenye Arumona in the 80th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The supporters of Lincoln FC booed when Lagos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Temple Aiyetan didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chukwuraenye Arumona in the 85th minute of play forced Lagos FC's goalkeeper Deyour Oyai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute Chukwuraenye Arumona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Deyour Oyai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 87 minutes, Ganiyu Agba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lincoln FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ganiyu Agba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Lagos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Chukwuraenye Arumona came free, but Deyour Oyai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deyour Oyai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chukwuraenye Arumona, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Chukwuraenye Arumona might have been able to make a better finish in the 98th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Deyour Oyai. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chukwuraenye Arumona ran back to his position shaking his head. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Lincoln FC fully deserved thier win.
