Hanyeolisa Adegoroye breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dick Nwigwe took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Otitodilichukwu Echiegu. Rawtenstall's Otitodilichukwu Echiegu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dick Nwigwe in the 45th minute of play. Osita Amu struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Hanyeolisa Adegoroye didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rawtenstall. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dick Nwigwe to strike the kick off in the second half. Frodsham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Obi Mbong was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96th minute, Greg Otelaja left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Frodsham fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3.
