Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ime Agoro took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to Hornchurch getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Michael Baba Zeigbo hit a great ball. Kosi Adefarasin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eddy Achilike. Hornchurch's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 7th minute Rapuokwu Ijemere shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddy Achilike saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 7 played minutes Hornchurch got a freekick which was hit by Michael Baba Zeigbo. Hornchurch's Eddy Achilike played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rapuokwu Ijemere in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Rapuokwu Ijemere ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eddy Achilike was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Hornchurch's goal looked a bit too open when Osita Amu came free, but Eddy Achilike reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eddy Achilike took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osita Amu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ijeagha Odizor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Otitodilichukwu Echiegu made a huge save. 23 minutes into the match, Hornchurch's Edward Tunde sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Otitodilichukwu Echiegu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, Rawtenstall's goalkeeper Otitodilichukwu Echiegu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ijeagha Odizor. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osita Amu in the 27th minute of play forced Hornchurch's goalkeeper Eddy Achilike to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rapuokwu Ijemere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eddy Achilike showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osita Amu in the 45th minute of the match. Hornchurch's Eddy Achilike played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rapuokwu Ijemere in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Osita Amu to strike the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Hornchurch's Ime Agoro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Otitodilichukwu Echiegu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Ime Agoro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Otitodilichukwu Echiegu. Rawtenstall's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ime Agoro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 67 minutes into the game, Rapuokwu Ijemere lined in a short shot 1-3 behind a frustrated Eddy Achilike. Rapuokwu Ijemere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Eddy Achilike tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osita Amu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kosi Adefarasin charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kosi Adefarasin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Hornchurch booed when Rawtenstall was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kosi Adefarasin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ime Agoro scored 2-3 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Otitodilichukwu Echiegu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ime Agoro in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Otitodilichukwu Echiegu saved Rawtenstall from getting behind. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rawtenstall's goalkeeper Otitodilichukwu Echiegu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 95 played minutes Hornchurch got a freekick which was hit by Ikem Okoro. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
