An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Akubuike in the 20th minute of play forced Desto's goalkeeper Bola Akinyele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henry Gana's late challenge caught a Liskeard's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henry Gana helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Desto getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Henry Gana hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, Liskeard's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Gana came free, but Omotayo Olutola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Omotayo Olutola stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henry Gana's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Gana in the 39th minute of play forced Liskeard's goalkeeper Omotayo Olutola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Omotayo Olutola made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Mojolaoluwa Abugu sent off a good shot on target.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Henry Gana made a kick off. In the 77th match minute, Liskeard was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Promise Agali to maneuver through the defense. Chuma Oguntade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omotayo Olutola having to interfere.
