Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Isaiah Chilaka took the kick off in the first half of the match. Osita Amu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dauda Adaramoye read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Oddy Taiwo hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the match, Baldock's goalkeeper Dauda Adaramoye had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rapuokwu Ijemere. A collision led to Baldock getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Muhammad Ijeh hit a great ball. Otitodilichukwu Echiegu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Somadina Olowosuko in the 16th minute of the match. The supporters of Baldock booed when Rawtenstall was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deeyah Adebodun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Otitodilichukwu Echiegu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Somadina Olowosuko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Otitodilichukwu Echiegu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Somadina Olowosuko in the 23rd minute of play. Dauda Adaramoye stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Osita Amu's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. 37 minutes into the game, Osita Amu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dauda Adaramoye. Osita Amu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When Dammy Okunowo came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Rawtenstall fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dammy Okunowo couldn't finish the play. Osita Amu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dauda Adaramoye having to interfere. If Somadina Olowosuko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osita Amu was the one to do the kick off. Rapuokwu Ijemere recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Somadina Olowosuko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Otitodilichukwu Echiegu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oddy Taiwo was shown his second yellow card after 60 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 60 played minutes Baldock got a freekick which was hit by Oddy Taiwo. When Muhammad Ijeh fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Baldock's protests and gave Muhammad Ijeh a yellow card for diving instead. After 62 played minutes Baldock got a freekick which was hit by Muhammad Ijeh. A collision led to Baldock getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Ololade Adebanjo hit a great ball. Osita Amu struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Dauda Adaramoye didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rawtenstall. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. The audience was convinced that Rapuokwu Ijemere's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dauda Adaramoye was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Somadina Olowosuko's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Otitodilichukwu Echiegu firmly grabbed it by the left post. After having played for 86 minutes, Isaiah Chilaka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baldock's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaiah Chilaka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute, Deeyah Adebodun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baldock's Somadina Olowosuko got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Enang Babangida's late challenge caught a Baldock's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enang Babangida helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Rawtenstall's Enang Babangida got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Somadina Olowosuko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otitodilichukwu Echiegu having to interfere. When Isaiah Chilaka came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Baldock fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaiah Chilaka couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Rawtenstall fans cheered their team off the field, for while Baldock had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
