Chijioke Garo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Akubundu Adefulu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martin Akubuike's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Ganiyu Agba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Omotayo Olutola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ositadimma Olaoye had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 21st match minute, Liskeard was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chijioke Garo to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 48th minute of the game. One of Liskeard:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lincoln FC:s goal. Nwabugwu Jazom shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Martin Akubuike made the kick off in the second half. Omotayo Olutola came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Lincoln FC's Ositadimma Olaoye. But to his dismay, Ositadimma Olaoye quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Akubundu Adefulu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martin Akubuike's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute Hussein Emeka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omotayo Olutola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Lincoln FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3.
