Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Chiefo Jega started the match with the kick off. Beacon united were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Belvedere's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Amauchenna Ejem took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Tafawa Omoloko heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Oyinkan Uzoezie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chiefo Jega who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Effiong Adegunloye when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Oyinkan Uzoezie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Effiong Adegunloye tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Effiong Adegunloye showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chiefo Jega in the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chiefo Jega in the 27th minute of play forced Beacon united's goalkeeper Effiong Adegunloye to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chiefo Jega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Effiong Adegunloye tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Belvedere's zone, Shawai Adaramoye stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Onyemaechi Onigbogi came out of the goal and Shawai Adaramoye tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Onyemaechi Onigbogi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cletus Cletus Anosike in the 35th minute of play. Eluem Osaiyuwu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Effiong Adegunloye made a huge save. Chiefo Jega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Effiong Adegunloye tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amauchenna Ejem, 44 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.

The wind increased when Shawai Adaramoye made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Beacon united's Cletus Cletus Anosike nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Onyemaechi Onigbogi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chiefo Jega in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Effiong Adegunloye prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Eluem Osaiyuwu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chiefo Jega in the 66th minute of play forced Beacon united's goalkeeper Effiong Adegunloye to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eluem Osaiyuwu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Effiong Adegunloye tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eluem Osaiyuwu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Effiong Adegunloye having to interfere. A collision led to Beacon united getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Amauchenna Ejem hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eluem Osaiyuwu in the 76th minute of play forced Beacon united's goalkeeper Effiong Adegunloye to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 82 minutes, Onwuamaeze Olubobokun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Belvedere and the Beacon united players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Belvedere's Onwuamaeze Olubobokun got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Chiefo Jega kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. If Eluem Osaiyuwu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chiefo Jega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Beacon united's zone, Chiefo Jega stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Effiong Adegunloye came out of the goal and Chiefo Jega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
