Arising star fa's Samson Etoh Adeeko got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Chinwe Abiola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samson Etoh Adeeko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olalekan Ezeagba having to interfere. The corner ended in Essien Bolodeoku almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chuks FC's Olalekan Ezeagba did a great save. In the 36th match minute, Arising star fa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stephen Istifanus Asiegbo to maneuver through the defense. Samson Etoh Adeeko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olalekan Ezeagba having to interfere. If Samson Etoh Adeeko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dahunsi Obiamaka in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Udochukwu Omorodion prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dahunsi Obiamaka to make the kick off. Markus Otokpa's late challenge caught a Arising star fa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Markus Otokpa helped the player get up and apologised. Markus Otokpa hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Dahunsi Obiamaka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Udochukwu Omorodion having to interfere. Chiekwugo Azazi kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the game, Daniel Udechukwu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chuks FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arising star fa the free kick. Nnachetam Famewo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olalekan Ezeagba having to interfere. Chinwe Abiola got a throw-in 73 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Chiekwugo Azazi. The supporters of Arising star fa booed when Chuks FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rotimi Omanukwue didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olalekan Ezeagba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samson Etoh Adeeko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chuks FC's Dahunsi Obiamaka got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mobi Tokumbo kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Samson Etoh Adeeko struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Olalekan Ezeagba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arising star fa. Chinwe Abiola kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Dahunsi Obiamaka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Udochukwu Omorodion having to interfere.
