Tochi Amarachi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Effiong Adegunloye having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Beacon united's goal looked a bit too open when Tochi Amarachi came free, but Effiong Adegunloye reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Tochi Amarachi lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Effiong Adegunloye. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ibeamaka Okwuono got free with Effiong Adegunloye in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Tochi Amarachi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tochi Amarachi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the match, Beacon united's goal looked a bit too open when Ibeamaka Okwuono came free, but Effiong Adegunloye reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Effiong Adegunloye showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tochi Amarachi, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shawai Adaramoye in the 45th minute of play forced Castle football academy's goalkeeper Labaran Nwaiwu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beacon united's Cletus Cletus Anosike got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Shawai Adaramoye was the one to do the kick off. In the 58thth minute of the game Tochi Amarachi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Beacon united's Effiong Adegunloye was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tochi Amarachi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ibeamaka Okwuono's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Effiong Adegunloye read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Ibeamaka Okwuono ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Effiong Adegunloye was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Shawai Adaramoye kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Labaran Nwaiwu. That made the score 2-2 in the 77 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Castle football academy's zone, Cletus Cletus Anosike stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Labaran Nwaiwu came out of the goal and Cletus Cletus Anosike tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Opah Enoh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Effiong Adegunloye took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tochi Amarachi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Beacon united players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Castle football academy from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
