Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Onyemaechi Onigbogi came out of the goal and Tochi Amarachi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 12 played minutes Castle football academy got a freekick which was hit by Nebe Obiabo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chiefo Jega got free with Labaran Nwaiwu in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Belvedere getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Onwuamaeze Olubobokun hit a great ball. Onyemaechi Onigbogi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ibeamaka Okwuono went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Nebe Obiabo fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Castle football academy's protests and gave Nebe Obiabo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Castle football academy's Nebe Obiabo got a free kick in the 22nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gregory Enakarhire in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Labaran Nwaiwu saved Castle football academy from getting behind. In the 27th match minute, Castle football academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nebe Obiabo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregory Enakarhire in the 32nd minute of play forced Castle football academy's goalkeeper Labaran Nwaiwu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gregory Enakarhire made a kick off. Tochi Amarachi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Onyemaechi Onigbogi having to interfere. In the 57th minute Gregory Enakarhire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Labaran Nwaiwu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Castle football academy's Onyemaechi Onigbogi threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tochi Amarachi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Sylvester Adekoje took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Onyemaechi Onigbogi. Belvedere's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Onyemaechi Onigbogi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tochi Amarachi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Castle football academy booed when Belvedere was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sani Babayaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd match minute, Belvedere was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregory Enakarhire to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes into the match, Castle football academy's Ibeamaka Okwuono sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Onyemaechi Onigbogi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Castle football academy played a much better game than Belvedere and deserved their victory. The Belvedere players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
