Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Chuks FC's Dahunsi Obiamaka started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Boniface Ephraim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ettah Ayoka kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Dahunsi Obiamaka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Bankole Moses tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute Dahunsi Obiamaka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bankole Moses saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Boniface Ephraim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, Dahunsi Obiamaka notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Yate FC's Bankole Moses. Bankole Moses was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 23rd match minute, Chuks FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ettah Ayoka to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Chuks FC's Dahunsi Obiamaka got a free kick in the 24th minute. After having played for 26 minutes, Boniface Ephraim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yate FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Boniface Ephraim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olalekan Ezeagba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chukwufumnanya Oliseh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chuks FC's Olalekan Ezeagba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chukwufumnanya Oliseh in the 29th minute of play. If Boniface Ephraim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Yate FC's Bo Bello got a free kick in the 35th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dahunsi Obiamaka in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bankole Moses prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Dahunsi Obiamaka got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Chuks FC's Daniel Udechukwu got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bankole Moses made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Dahunsi Obiamaka sent off a good shot on target. The throw-in from Chukwueloka Onyewuchi in the 47th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Chuks FC's Daniel Udechukwu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dahunsi Obiamaka in the 48th minute of play forced Yate FC's goalkeeper Bankole Moses to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chukwufumnanya Oliseh made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Yate FC's Chukwufumnanya Oliseh slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Olalekan Ezeagba. That made the score 1-1 after 52 minutes of play. After 57 minutes, Bawa Lele mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yate FC and the Chuks FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Chuks FC booed when Yate FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bawa Lele didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bo Bello fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yate FC's protests and gave Bo Bello a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dahunsi Obiamaka in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 65thth minute of the game Dahunsi Obiamaka who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yate FC's Bankole Moses was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Bo Bello was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 66 minutes had been played. A collision led to Yate FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Bo Bello hit a great ball. Ettah Ayoka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Boniface Ephraim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Olalekan Ezeagba made a huge save. In the 82nd minute, Daniel Udechukwu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dahunsi Obiamaka might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bankole Moses. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dahunsi Obiamaka ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Yate FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Olamide Adejumobi hit a great ball. Bankole Moses made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chikwendu Kachallah in the 91st minute of play. Boniface Ephraim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Mobi Tokumbo fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chuks FC's protests and gave Mobi Tokumbo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 98th minute, Chukwueloka Onyewuchi sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Chuks FC's Olalekan Ezeagba didn't even have to move. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
