In the 10th minute Shawai Adaramoye shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bankole Moses saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cletus Cletus Anosike might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bankole Moses. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cletus Cletus Anosike ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Yate FC's Chinonyelum Iwuanyanwu got a free kick in the 16th minute. The supporters of Beacon united booed when Yate FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chukwufumnanya Oliseh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boniface Ephraim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Effiong Adegunloye having to interfere. Amauchenna Ejem kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 31st play minute Boniface Ephraim came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Effiong Adegunloye. 2-0. Boniface Ephraim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Effiong Adegunloye made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Boniface Ephraim sent off a good shot on target. Beacon united's Effiong Adegunloye proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Beacon united from getting a goal against them. Effiong Adegunloye made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bo Bello in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Boniface Ephraim was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Boniface Ephraim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yate FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Boniface Ephraim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bawa Lele received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Effiong Adegunloye tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 94 minutes of play, Yate FC's Boniface Ephraim made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Effiong Adegunloye was left in no man's land by his defense there!
